Stephen Rae

A Bride Price is a ceremony meaning the joining of a man and women, whereby the man's family would pay a price and present this gift to family of the Bride. In traditional times this would mean food and livestock, but in more modern times it means money, food even a house, depending on the wealth of man's family and the worth of the girl. Stephen Rae travels to Gabba Gabba village on the Motuan Coast where two bride prices are happening.
